School holidays in Johor are according to the academic calendar set by the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE). Since Johor has weekend holidays on Saturday-Sunday (since 2025) [previously on Friday-Saturday (until 2024)], the school schedule for the state under the Group B category is slightly different from the MOE Calendar for other states under the Group A category.

These holidays give students time to relax, travel, and participate in extracurricular activities. In addition to term & year-end holidays, public holidays and festive holidays such as Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Chinese New Year, and Deepavali also lead to additional days off for students and teachers.
