The date of the Sultan of Kelantan's Birthday 2026, the celebration of the Sultan of Kelantan's Birthday 2026, school holidays and public holidays, reminds us that the state of Kelantan celebrates the Birthday of the Sultan of Kelantan, to honor the reigning Sultan, Al-Sultan Muhammad V of Kelantan.
Sultan Muhammad V was born on 6 October 1969, is the 29th Al-Sultan of Kelantan since ascending the throne on 13 September 2010.

The Sultan of Kelantan's Birthday Celebration marks the birthday of Sultan Muhammad V, who ascended the throne on 13 September 2010, becoming the 29th Sultan of Kelantan.
He is the eldest son of the 28th Al-Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Ismail Petra and the Raja Perempuan Tengku Anis. He has 3 younger siblings, namely Tengku Muhammad Fa-iz Petra, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra and Tengku Amalin A'ishah Putri.
His Majesty received his early education at Fatima Convent kindergarten and Sekolah Kebangsaan Sultan Ismail (1), Kota Bharu before continuing his studies at Alice Smith School, Kuala Lumpur. He then went to England to continue his studies at Oakham School Ruthland until 1989. He then continued his studies at St Cross College, Oxford and the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies for diplomatic studies. He graduated in 1991.
On the day of the Sultan of Kelantan's birthday celebration, various state events are held including flag-raising ceremonies, official functions, exhibitions and so on led by the Sultan and state dignitaries.
The Sultan of Kelantan's Birthday is celebrated every year on 29 September, with a second holiday on the following day:

The Sultan of Kelantan's Birthday Celebration helps preserve Kelantan's cultural heritage through performances, water sports and traditional decorations. It also strengthens community service, charity work and unity among the people of Kelantan.
