School Holidays in Conjunction with the Sultan of Pahang's Birthday Public Holiday 2025

All students in Malaysia will enjoy the Sultan of Pahang's Birthday 2025 holiday based on their school group in 2025. These dates will help students, parents, and even teachers plan their celebrations and travel arrangements effectively.

Group A

(Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu)

  • 25 July 2025 (Friday) – Normal school holiday on that day. No additional holidays.

Group B

(Mellaka, Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Perlis, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor, WP Kuala Lumpur, WP Labuan and WP Putrajaya)

  • 25 July 2025 (Friday) – School holiday in Pahang only. Normal school day for other states on that day. No additional holidays.

If you plan ahead, keep in mind that the school will follow the government's public holiday schedule without additional holidays.

The Ministry of Education has not announced any special/additional arrangements for the 2025 Sultan of Pahang Birthday celebration. You can check the official MOE portal for any latest information on the academic calendar as the celebration date approaches.

Sultan of Pahang's Birthday Celebration in Malaysia

The Sultan of Pahang's Birthday celebrations foster racial pride and highlight Pahang's cultural diversity.

This holiday commemorates the birthday of Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, who ascended the throne of Pahang in January 2019 and was officially proclaimed in July of that year. The Sultan serves as the constitutional head of Pahang and was previously the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King) of Malaysia (2019–2024).

Previously, the Sultan of Pahang's birthday was celebrated on October 24 under the former Sultan Ahmad Shah, the date was reset to July 30 to reflect the birth date of Sultan Abdullah.
