School Holidays in Conjunction with the Public Holiday for the Birthday of the Governor of Melaka 2025

All students in Malaysia will enjoy the Malacca Governor's Birthday holiday 2025 based on their school group in 2025. These dates will help students, parents and even teachers plan their celebrations and travel arrangements effectively.

Group A

(Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu)

24 August 2025 (Sunday) – Regular school day on that day. No additional holidays.

Group B

(Mellaka, Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Perlis, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor, WP Kuala Lumpur, WP Labuan and WP Putrajaya)

24 August 2025 (Sunday) – Normal school holiday in all states including Melaka.

If you plan ahead, keep in mind that the school will follow the government's public holiday schedule without additional holidays.

Melaka Governor's Birthday Celebration in Malaysia

In 2025, the celebration of the Birthday of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Melaka, falling on Sunday, August 24, gives residents and visitors the opportunity to take part in celebrations and official functions.

The Yang di-Pertua Negeri Melaka is the head and ruler of the State of Melaka. He is appointed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong after receiving advice from the Chief Minister of Melaka as per the Constitution of the State of Melaka.

- He was appointed as the 7th Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Melaka.
- He was sworn in on June 4, 2020 and reappointed for a second term on June 4, 2024.

The approval of the Yang Di-Pertua Negeri is required for all laws passed by the State Legislative Assembly.

The Yang di-Pertua Negeri presided over the honouring ceremony, presenting state awards in recognition of contributions to the community.
