Every year on the official date gazetted by the state, Sarawak celebrates the Birthday of the Sarawak Governor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This festival celebrates the birth anniversary of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, who is the head of the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sarawak Governor&#039;s Birthday 2027<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Announcement of the Official Date of the Birthday Holiday of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak 2027<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you refer to the 2027 federal and state public holiday schedule by kabinet.gov.my, Sarawak Governor&#039;s Birthday will be celebrated in Malaysia on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>October 9, 2027 (Saturday)<\/strong> \u2013 Sarawak Governor&#039;s Birthday (Sarawak)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 2027<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">School Holidays in Conjunction with the Public Holiday for the Birthday of the Governor of Sarawak 2027<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All students in Malaysia will enjoy the Sarawak Governor&#039;s Birthday 2027 holiday based on their school group in 2027. These dates will help students, parents and even teachers plan their celebrations and travel arrangements effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Group A<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>(Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>9 October 2027 (Saturday) \u2013 Normal school holiday on that day. No additional holidays.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Group B<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>(Mellaka, Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Perlis, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor, WP Kuala Lumpur, WP Labuan and WP Putrajaya)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>9 October 2027 (Saturday) \u2013 Normal school holiday in all states. No additional holidays.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you plan ahead, keep in mind that the school will follow the government&#039;s public holiday schedule without additional holidays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Education has not announced any special\/additional arrangements for the 2027 Sarawak Yang di-Pertua Negeri Birthday Celebration. You can check the official MOE portal for any latest information on the academic calendar as the celebration date approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sarawak Governor&#039;s Birthday Celebration in Malaysia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak is the supreme head of government for the entire state of Sarawak. He is appointed by His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong after receiving advice from the Premier of Sarawak. The Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak can also be known as the Governor of Sarawak. The term of office of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak is four years, and can still be extended up to a maximum of six years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The official residence of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak is located in Astana, on the northern bank of the Sarawak River, Kuching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every year on the second Saturday of October, Sarawak celebrates the Birthday of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak, celebrating the official birthday of its ceremonial head, the Yang di-Pertua Negeri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarawak does not have a hereditary king, instead, it is led by a federally appointed governor known as the Yang di-Pertua Negeri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Governor of Sarawak<\/strong> <strong>the latest is<\/strong>  \u2013 Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar.
